Will Tom Aspinall Be Able To Get The Job Done At UFC 295

Even the worst circumstances won’t stop Tom Aspinall from winning the interim title at UFC 295. Do you think Aspinall has the skills enough to win the title or is he just bragging and won’t be able to do the job when the moment arrives? Continue reading to find out!

As the initial main event against Stipe Miocic was postponed due to champion Jon Jones’ injury, the UFC changed course and scheduled Aspinall vs. Pavlovich for the interim title at Madison Square Garden. After the preliminary round on ESPNews and ESPN+, the main event airs on pay-per-view.

With less than three weeks’ notice, the scenario isn’t ideal, but Aspinall believes he can overcome any obstacles and come out on top.

Aspinall told reporters at Wednesday’s UFC 295 media day that he believed he was facing the scariest opponent in MMA, under the most challenging circumstances, and without a proper training camp. He stated that he didn’t just show up for a paycheck and emphasized that he wouldn’t sign a contract and participate in the fight if he didn’t believe he could win. He expressed his strong conviction that he would emerge victorious on Saturday night, asserting that he was a determined winner who would find a way to win, regardless of the circumstances.

Despite acknowledging that he may not have had enough time to develop and refine the ideal strategy, Aspinall, 30, believes he is aware of Pavlovich’s strengths and weaknesses. Pavlovich has won his last six fights by first-round knockout.

Aspinall believes that to give himself the best chance, he must embrace everything and transform it into something constructive.

Aspinall stated that he believed the fight at Madison Square Garden against Pavlovich represented heavyweight MMA. He mentioned that both he and his opponent were very dangerous fighters. He also mentioned that he was just focused on going out there and enjoying the experience, considering it an absolute dream come true to fight at Madison Square Garden against Pavlovich.

The victor of Aspinall vs. Pavlovich would normally be scheduled to face Jones next. That won’t be the case, according to UFC CEO Dana White, and the promotion instead intends to reschedule the matchup between Jones and Miocic after the champion is well.

It has been suggested by some that the UFC ought to have dropped Jones and put Aspinall against Pavlovich for the undisputed title instead. Aspinall stated that he is not obsessing over every little detail of this situation.

Aspinall said he wasn’t too worried about the short-term situation and that he accepted it. He thought things would work out on their own eventually. In addition, he showed his respect for Jon Jones by calling him one of the greatest fighters in the history of the sport and expressing the hope that they would face off in a cage together in the future.

Will Aspinall be able to do what he’s so confidently talking about? Do let us know what you think will eventually happen in the comment section!
