Dana White Won’t Force Fighters To Apologize For Saying Anything Offensive During Their Post-fight Interviews

Dana White is the leader who will stand by you in front of everyone even if you’re wrong. But the question is that, is he the man who will tell you what you did wrong when you’re alone? White recently stated in an interview that even if his fighters use homophobic slurs in their post-fight interviews, he won’t make them apologize.

Does this show that he has no basic human morals? Is this defending the team or not accepting your mistake? Was it all just a dumb mistake? Continue reading to find out
Winners of UFC 293 Charlie Radtke and Manel Kape delivered ferocious in-cage post-fight interviews, but both tarnished their moments by using anti-gay slurs. Daniel Cormier, the interviewer, pulled the mic and ended their conversations as a result of both incidents.

White told MMA Junkie and other reporters during a post-event news conference that Kape’s comments had been flying around a bit that night. Even if the remarks or statements fighters make are acknowledged as “bad mistakes,” White and the promotion have retreated from public accountability ten years later.

The overwhelming assumption in any other major sport would have been for Radtke and Kape to receive quick fines and/or suspensions. But it’s difficult to hold athletes responsible when the White himself received no punishment for punching his wife on New Year’s Eve.
White acknowledged that people make mistakes, including himself. He stated that he didn’t consider himself perfect either and pointed out that everyone has found themselves in situations where they’ve made errors. White emphasized that what truly matters is how one rebounds from those mistakes and the way one conducts themselves following such incidents.

Do you think white making such a comment promotes an image of a negative and unhealthy culture? Should he have refrained from making such a comment? Do let us know what your thoughts are on this in the comment section!
