With one of the highest fight IQs we’ve ever witnessed, Jon Jones is one of the brightest fighters inside the ring. Outside of the cage, however, the UFC heavyweight champion has demonstrated that he isn’t the sharpest in making a point due to his poor choice of words.

In a trailer previewing a one-hour interview on the OverDogs Podcast, Jones shared his thoughts on retirement and revealed a surprising aspect concerning his UFC 295 rival, Stipe Miocic. He believes that when you reach a point where you don’t experience emotions anymore, that’s likely when you should consider stepping away. Presently he still feels significantly nervous. Even when he is deeply engaged in something private, like intimate moments with his partner, Stipe’s thoughts manage to come into his mind.

Jones has thoughts of Stipe while engaging in sexual activity, yet you often hear tales of renowned sportsmen finding odd ways to keep their edge, so perhaps it is true?

We now have a better understanding of Jones’ level of commitment to defeating the former champion who is largely regarded as the best heavyweight of all time.
Seeing all his focus and attention towards his opponent, will he be able to defeat Miocic? That’s only possible if you watch the match on Nov.11 at UFC 295!

We understand, Jon, because that tough firefighter from Cleveland was looking highly eye-catching. We also agree that the reveal may have been a little too spicily worded. Overdogs Podcast took it off its Instagram account a few hours after posting the video quote online.

Whether it still contains Jones’ deep focus on Miocic remains to be seen.
It’s funny to think how focused a fighter can be on their opponent, considering his thoughts
pop up in their mind during sex. Is this Jones showing dedication to his career or just stating exaggerated comments to get the media’s attention?

Do let us know what you think about his statement and what you believe the results of their upcoming fight will be.
