Gaethje intends to enter the BMF title fight at UFC 300 with very terrible intentions, despite having the utmost regard for former featherweight champion Holloway.

Gaethje conveyed that he believed a doctor stoppage would be the best outcome. He explained his respect for Max and stated that causing injury rather than knocking him unconscious would be preferable. However, Gaethje acknowledged that Max would be aiming to knock him out, indicating that he would have no doubts if he were to make Max unconscious.

Many have predicted that both fighters will leave a piece of themselves inside the T-Mobile Arena after this bout between two highly productive strikers with amazing chins. Although Gaethje is well aware of the possibility, he hopes that supporters on both sides of the cage voice their concerns.

Gaethje replied affirmatively when questioned about fan concern but expressed hope that they were also worried about him. He acknowledged that his opponent, Max, had the ability  to inflict harm. Gaethje stated that while the nature of their occupation was dangerous , it had become normal for him. He emphasized his acceptance of his role and his proficiency in causing damage, regardless of his opponent. Gaethje concluded by emphasising his readiness to compete and win, regardless of who he faced, as long as they had signed the contract.

Given the dynamics between the two elite strikers, the fight might go in a number of different directions, but Gaethje would like to pull off an unprecedented move to add a feather to his cap.

He emphasized the importance of being himself, prepared, cautious, defensively proficient, and quick in his movements, as he has always been.
