Will The Ultimate UFC And PFL Bout Happen?

Patchy Mix ‘doesn’t have the hair, but he’s got better fighting’ than Sean O’Malley, says the PFL founder Donn Davis. Does the PFL fighter have enough skills to defeat Sean O’Malley or does the PFL have false hopes for his fighters? Continue reading to find out!

Donn Davis, the PFL founder, is a firm believer in the team that his company has acquired; on Monday, he purchased Bellator officially. Davis feels that Patchy Mix, the bantamweight champion of Bellator, is simply superior to Sean O’Malley, the 135-pound champion of the UFC.

“Patchy Mix could defeat ‘Suga,'” Davis stated to reporters following Friday night’s 2023 PFL Championship. He may not be that experienced but surely is a better fighter. It’s a damn good fight, but I think most people just think that’s a good fight or that Patchy is a slight favorite.

According to Davis, there are no plans to create a PFL bantamweight season in 2024. For the time being, Mix (19-1) will defend his title in the eight anticipated Bellator events of 2024 against opponents who have not yet been announced.

After defeating Sergio Pettis at Bellator 301 earlier this month, Mix recently unified the Bellator bantamweight title. Mix was the interim champion going into the fight. The 30-year-old has only fought once, against Juan Archuleta in 2020, but he is currently riding a six-fight winning streak.

But in March, O’Malley (17-1)—the only person to defeat him—returns to the octagon to defend his title against Marlon Vera. After defeating Aljamain Sterling at UFC 292 in Boston in August, O’Malley was crowned the UFC champion.

Do you think that Davis’s squad will be able to put up to the faith he has in them? What would be the results of this bout if it ended up happening? Don’t forget to let us know about your thoughts in the comment section!
