Dawson vs. Green: UFC Fight Night

Dana White reacted to Bobby Green’s big win and Joe Pyfer’s latest performance. Continue reading to find out what he had to say about the event!

The head of the UFC immediately expressed his admiration for Bobby Green’s accomplishments in his match with Grant Dawson in the main event. White remarked that Green’s 33-second knockout victory was astounding and that it just goes to prove that anything is possible in mixed martial arts.

White told the media that the sport was unpredictable, and one never knew what would happen in it. He pointed out that Dawson, who hadn’t lost a fight since 2016 and had a record of approximately 20 wins and 1 loss while being ranked in the top 15, had experienced a sudden turn of events due to a single punch, a jab. White emphasized the unpredictability of the sport.

Green added the knockout victory against Dawson to his 2023 highlight reel, which already had a submission victory over Tony Ferguson. His dramatic victory was his second mind-blowing finish in as many fights. White believes they might be able to fulfill Green’s request to fight again before the year is through, which he made in the Octagon after the bout.

Additionally, White made sure to send flowers to middleweight Joe Pyfer, saying that Pyfer’s submission victory over Abdul Razak Alhassan was yet another proof that he is the genuine deal. Pyfer requested a new contract inside the Octagon, and White immediately provided an update on the negotiations with the boxer from Philadelphia.

White said that they were currently working on a new deal and added that he liked the kid a lot, describing him as tough and durable, and mentioning that the kid had that dog in him. The triumphs of Karolina Kowalkiewicz, Joaquin Buckley, and Drew Dober were three additional performances that caused White to sit up straighter in his chair. In their unique ways, all three appeared fantastic.

Kowalkiewicz’ s career has taken a turn for the better as she went on a four-fight winning streak after a five-fight losing streak. Buckley appeared to be a serious threat at welterweight, and his victory over Alex Morono confirmed that. Dober, meanwhile, defeated Ricky Glenn with ease after his loss to Matt Frevola.

With nine UFC knockout victories, Dober now holds the record for the most victories in the lightweight division.
Dana White said that he had witnessed a very one-sided ass whopping’ in the UFC, and he mentioned that the fighter came out with a clear mission and looked incredible.

When the media’s focus shifted away from UFC Fight Night: Dawson vs. Green, one reporter inquired about Conor McGregor and the rumors that he had joined the USADA testing pool. On October 10, the seventh week of Dana White’s Contender Series will begin, and White has been ecstatic about what he has seen thus far. Dana White mentioned that Conor McGregor had submitted paperwork but clarified that McGregor was not currently in the pool. He added that the paperwork was expected to be in by Monday.

Dana White expressed his affection for the show and the practice of conducting it every Tuesday, noting how awesome it was. He also pointed out that the current format was ideal, as it involved ten weeks of the show followed by a break to allow the talent to develop before resuming another ten weeks of the same format.

Dana White is pretty impressed with the performance and has full hopes for the talent of the future fighters. What do you think about the fight and the president’s review on it? Be sure to let us know about your thoughts in the comment section!
