Dana White Nonchalant About Bellator

According to the UFC CEO Dana White If Bellator stays in the business it isn’t gonna be a bad thing. Looks like Dana White is pretty confident in his fighters, and considering their monstrous performance record its understandable! On the other hand if Bellator picks up their game then its going to be a big game to recover by UFC fighters!

Do you think White is being unprofessional for making such a claim? Who will win the battle? Continue reading to find out!

The UFC CEO has previously made clear statements about his interest, or lack thereof, in buying Bellator MMA amid rumors that the company’s doors will soon close. White acknowledges that he doesn’t want to own the brand, but he also doesn’t want it to go.

There have been many rumors floating about in recent months, from a firm sale to a merger with PFL to a complete suspension of all operations. Although Bellator President Scott Coker stated there were significant ongoing commercial discussions, there is presently no firm information available regarding the promotion’s future.

Dana White stated that if Bellator continues to exist, it would not be a bad thing but a good thing. He mentioned that considering they are owned by Viacom, a company with substantial financial resources, it’s unlikely they would go out of business unless they were simply tired of operating. He also noted that there were rumors about showtime facing similar issues, not just Bellator.

Bjorn Rebney launched Bellator in 2008. Six years later, Coker took over and has been running the California-based company ever since. Coker launched Strikeforce, which was eventually acquired by the UFC. But this time, as with Strikeforce, it seems UFC isn’t interested in acquiring a Coker-led business, despite the fact that Bellator’ s fighter roster is generally regarded as the greatest after the UFC’s.

White thinks it wouldn’t be a wise economic decision to buy the company, despite their strong lineup and the fact that competition is healthy for the market.

Dana White questioned last month why anyone would purchase Bellator, expressing his disbelief at the idea in response to rumors of the PFL potentially acquiring the promotion. He added that he was unsure why anyone would choose to buy Bellator and stated that he would observe how the situation unfolds.

Bellator 300, a landmark event, will soon take place at San Diego’s Pechanga Arena. One more competition for the promotion is Bellator 301 on November 17. The promotion’s future is uncertain after that.

What do you think the future holds for them? Will the MMA industry be able to prove Dana wrong? Do you think the game will go in favor of Bellator? Who’ll be the real champion? Do let us know about your thoughts in the comment section!
