Michael Bisping Looks Forward To Sean Strickland’s UFC title shot vs. Israel Adesanya

Michael Bisping, a member of the UFC Hall of Fame, has argued that Sean Strickland should face middleweight champion Israel Adesanya next. Continue reading to find out why he thinks so!

This past Saturday, in the main event of UFC on ESPN 47, Strickland, through second-round TKO, defeated Abus Magomedov. Strickland wants a championship fight with Adesanya, who is waiting for his next opponent for the UFC 293 event in Sydney in September.

At UFC 290 on Saturday, a crucial middleweight matchup between former champion Robert Whittaker and budding challenger Dricus Du Plessis will take place. Bisping doesn’t mind if Strickland gets the next championship opportunity if Whittaker defeats Du Plessis.

According to Bisping on his YouTube channel, he expressed admiration for Sean Strickland’s performance, referring to it as a remarkable achievement. Bisping mentioned that Strickland possesses an engaging personality and is skilled at public speaking. He also stated that Strickland has a strong affection for America, which resonates with the audience. Additionally, Bisping acknowledged Strickland’s desire to face Israel Adesanya, although he questioned why Strickland refers to him as the “Chinese champion.”

He expressed the belief that Israel Adesanya had fought against everyone. He acknowledged that Adesanya had faced Robert Whittaker twice and mentioned that the victor of the Dricus Du Plessis versus Robert fight would receive the next title shot. He confidently stated that Dricus was unlikely to win and added that people were uninterested in seeing Whittaker fight Adesanya again.

Personally, he admitted that he wouldn’t mind watching a rematch between them after witnessing Adesanya’s recent victory over Magomedov. He also anticipated that the pre-fight banter would be exceptional.
After fighting during the UFC 276 news conference, Strickland has been making fun of “The Last Stylebender.” Strickland has now defeated Nassourdine Imavov and Magomedov twice in a row.
Strickland’s prospects seem good, and the bout could take place. But who would be victorious? Let us know who you’re supporting between Adesanya and Strickland!
