Welcome back, fight fans! We all remember UFC Fight winner Mackenzie Dern’s epic moves on Saturday night. She ended the night with a bang by calling out ex-twice strawweight champion Rose Namajunas in her victory speech.

The press was highly interested in Dern’s daredevil call-out. They wanted Dana White’s opinion on the possibility of a bout between Dern and Namajunas.
Even though Dana said he wasn’t sure if the fight would be Dern’s next big fight, he was highly impressed with her moves on Saturday. He called it a fun fight, implying he would be interested in the event that the fight became a reality.
He also didn’t shy away from lauding Mackenzie’s overall performance and approach in the octagon. Dana mentioned that Dern was in great form, and she had never looked meaner than she did on Saturday night. He added, saying she was on a mission and looked very fit. Also, Dern’s proactive stance didn’t go unnoticed, as the UFC president also said she threw some serious hits toward opponent Angela Hill.
He added that she fought hard throughout the five rounds and had the perfect stand-up.
She could have only improved her performance by throwing in a sub or a knockout. Otherwise, the rest of her output was on fleek. Dana concluded by saying that considering her approach that night, anything was possible for her.
Dern faced a majority decision defeat to Yan Xiaonan last year. However, she returned stronger, rallying off that loss with her ninth victory in the UFC. She now thinks she’s prepared to challenge a previous champion after undergoing multiple adjustments in both her personal and professional lives.
White further analyzed her performance, saying, “I don’t know what you guys thought, but I thought this was going to be one of those fights where Angela Hill came out ‘stand up,’ try to take it to her, and Mackenzie was going to do everything in her power to get it to the ground to try and submit her. To see Mackenzie’s stand up – the punches, the knees actually hurting Angela Hill, who’s tough as nails – then on the flip side, Angela Hill, who’s so tough and durable getting into these positions. It was a badass fight. It was as good of a main event as you could ever hope for.”
Overall it’s obvious Dana was a fan of Dern’s fighting skills at UFC Vegas 73. However, it is unclear right now if the Mackenzie Dern vs. Rose Namajunas fight will definitely happen. However, her latest work will open doors for some serious opportunities and elite matchmaking in future fights.
