Paddy Pimblett Won’t Compete Until 2024

It looks like Paddy Pimblett, the UFC lightweight fighter, won’t be making a comeback anytime soon. He recently underwent ankle surgery due to the injury he sustained during his fight against Jared Gordon in December last year. Unfortunately, the damage was much worse than he thought.

During the fight, Pimblett hurt his foot in the first round, but he carried on with the fight. After the fight, he went back to the medical room, complaining of a sore foot. However, he couldn’t get it properly checked until he returned home. After the swelling went down, he discovered that he needed to have surgery for the inner and outer-ligament reconstruction. He has been on crutches for six and a half weeks and could still be on them for another six weeks. Therefore, he may not be able to fight this year.

Paddy Pimblett, who is 28 years old and unranked at 155 pounds, has faced criticism for his performance against Jared Gordon. There is talk of a potential rematch, but it remains to be seen whether the matchmakers or fans will still be interested by the time he returns to action.
